5.30 alarm goes off. Snooze. Wakes up in panic, it’s 6.40am you need to leave the house at seven. Running out the door 20 minutes later looking like shit, brain in panic, bump into ex, old school teacher who thought you’d amount to nothing all while looking like you’ve slept rough.. you get the picture.
I don’t know about you, but my capability to wake up on time is unbelievable crap. Even though I know having an extra hour in the morning to get up in a relaxed and calm state would make the world of difference to my day and I probably wouldn’t offend the other commuters so much with my lack of hair brushing. I JUST CAN’T SEEM TO DO IT.
So this week, I’ll be putting my alarm at the other side of my bedroom and using the Movement for modern life app to do a yoga or meditation session every morning for a week to see if I can kick my ass into gear. I would never make it to the gym class that early, but on their website they say “dodgy tracksuit bottoms allowed” so it sounds like I’ll fit right in.
Please wish this very lazy girl luck on hoping to change a habit she’s always had and I’ll let you know all about the app etc. See you at 5.30am…
